Aisha Huang Sentenced To 4 Years And 6 Months In Prison And Fined GHC48K

En Huang, whose real name is Aisha Huang, has been given a four-year, six-month prison sentence. After serving her jail sentence, Aisha Huang who has also been fined GH¢48,000 will be deported.

That came about after she was found guilty of carrying out a mining operation without a license, facilitating the participation of people carrying out a mining operation, and employing foreign nationals illegally by the Criminal Division of the Accra High Court, which was presided over by Justice Lydia Osei-Marfo.

In addition, she was found guilty based solely on her own plea to the allegation of entering Ghana while forbidden from returning.

The state, represented by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Yvonne Atokora Obuobisa, was deemed by the court to have established Aisha’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

An hour after the verdict was read, Aisha was sitting peacefully in the dock, facing the judge with her white scarf and nose mask as normal.

Despite Aisha Huang’s denial of all charges, the court believed that during the trial, which lasted for a year and two months, she contradicted herself.
