Actor John Dumelo has played his part to help with relief items for the Ghanaians affected by the ongoing Volta River flooding.
Dumelo donated water, fresh eggs, bread, slightly used clothing, Ghana rice and others to some affected residents of communities such as Torgome, Klamadaboe and Kesegakope.
According to him, these are communities close to his farm and he has previously worked with some of those affected.

Aside from his donations, Dumelo also gave over use of his farmhouse to the residents who had been displaced.
Dumelo shared photos from the donations to Instagram with the caption: “Yesterday I presented some relief items( water, fresh eggs, bread, slightly used clothing, Ghana rice) to some farming settlements(Torgome, Klamadaboe, Kesegakope) close to my farm along the Volta lake. I have worked with some of them over the last 7 years. I have therefore opened up my farm house to them as extra shelter. God bless us all,”
Communities along the Volta River in the Volta Region have been flooded in recent weeks following the spillage of the Akosombo Dam.

Heavy rains have led to the overflow of the Volta Lake, forcing the dam to be drained and leading to the flooding downstream and the water taking over entire communities.
